Iran exported more than 5,000 tons of honey in the 12 months to March 2015, and honey export from Iran has been similar to above number in past few years as well.

The main destinations of Iran’s honey export

Turkey, the UAE, Afghanistan, Iraq and Malaysia, with Turkey being the major consumer of Iranian honey

but this has been changed from 2018 onward and honey export from Iran to Turkey

has been dropped drastically due to Turkey internal rules which ban honey export from Iran until further notice.

Iran also exports honey to the Persian Gulf littoral states and other countries including
